Ashleigh has had 10 years’ experience as an Occupational therapist specialising in hand therapy and neurological rehabilitation. She has vast experience in both the public, private and educational fields of Occupational Therapy. She has provided acute and chronic physical and cognitive rehabilitation for both inpatients and outpatients. Ashleigh has been involved in education of students and fellow colleagues in both adult physical rehabilitation and hand therapy. Ashleigh loves being involved in outreach work and volunteering. Ashleigh is very experienced in splinting and is also able to assist with equipment prescription and home/environmental modifications.

Career Achievements/Recognitions

Ashleigh was awarded best clinical supervisor for 2009 from the University of Witwatersrand, Occupational Therapy Department. Ashleigh was the Owner and Director of an Occupational therapy hand therapy and physical rehabilitation practice in Johannesburg, South Africa for 5 years before moving to Sydney, Australia. Ashleigh was nominated for the President of the South African Society for Hand Therapists (SASHT) in which she ran from 2014 to 2015. Ashleigh also formed part of the Australian Hand Therapy Association Education sub-committee from 2015 to 2017.
