Saebo Arm and Hand Training Program for Stroke Rehabilitation and other Neurological Conditions

The Saebo Arm Training Program is a specialised treatment approach designed to maximise your arm and hand function. The Saebo orthotics are specially designed to treat neurological weakness and hand dysfunction occurring as a result of neurological injuries. Their products offer an exciting option for people requiring stroke rehabilitation and treatment for other neurological problems such as traumatic brain injury.

With Our Health Care Partners We Can Provide Better Stroke Rehabilitation

Saebo started working with people requiring hand and arm stroke rehabilitation about 10 years ago in the US. They started with people who had their stroke for a number of years, but soon progressed to more acute treatment and those with neurological diagnoses other than stroke.

We Use Saebo Orthoses for a Specialised Approach of Stroke Rehabilitation

To our knowledge the Saebo products are the only orthotics available which allow you to actively incorporate your weak hand for grasp and release activities. If suitable, the orthotic will enable you to use what muscle activity you have to pick up and release different objects.  You should be able to do this by the end of your first treatment session.

Highly Effective and Reliable Stroke Rehabilitation Using Saebo Orthoses

The orthotic is designed to be used as a tool in therapy and relies on frequent practice at home. The aim is to improve arm and hand function without the orthotic through improved strength, control and coordination.

Am I a Suitable Candidate?

If you answer ‘Yes’ to the following questions you may be suitable for the Saebo Orthoses:

  • Have you had a stroke or other neurological condition which has left you with a weak hand and arm?
  • Do you have a little bit of movement, but not enough to use your hand?
  • Are your joints in good condition?
  • Are you prepared to work every day at exercises to regain you hand function?
