Our Philosophy

Therapists at Rehab on the Move are passionate about helping you achieve your rehabilitation goals, to enable you to live as independently as possible.

It is Rehab on the Move’s mission to deliver exceptional therapy services that get results. Our rehabilitation programs are tailor made to suit your needs. We provide support to families and care workers to ensure the skills obtained in therapy are transferred into the home and community environments, making a real difference to your life.

To ensure excellence, the directors Kate Loxton and Joan Steele-Mills have a strong focus  on continuous education for all therapists in the Rehab on the Move team.  Ongoing professional education ensures our assessments and therapy interventions are in line with the latest evidence and best practice.

Kate and Joan have strong ethical values which frame the nature and direction of the organisation. These values are:

  • Recognise and respect each client’s right to privacy, dignity and confidentiality
  • Encourage the client to achieve their goals and maximise their ability to participate
in sport, work, leisure, and home activities
  • Enable the client to exercise choice and control over their lifestyle
  • Respect and value the customs, beliefs, and cultural and ethnic backgrounds of
individual clients and the Rehab on the Move therapy team
  • Encourage a strong team spirit amongst the Rehab on the Move team
  • Protect the safety of all persons
  • Ensure the organisation is responsive to the changing needs of the community
