  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Gillian Barre Syndrome
  • Post-Polio Syndrome
  • Upper limb injuries
What we offer

You will participate in one to two hours of intensive therapy (INPuT) per session weekly or fortnightly. You will be treated by a range of specialists including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and hydrotherapists (aquatic physiotherapists).

The time and duration of each INPuT program will change depending on your needs and stamina so you have a program that is custom made for you. We also continually adapt our approach in line with your progress so that you continue to reach your goals.

Specialist equipment

We use specialist, cutting-edge equipment at our multi-functional intensive therapy unit in Pymble.

Equipment includes:

  • Weight Supported Treadmill – for gait retraining
  • Functional Movement Suspense Frame – for balance training
  • Functional electrical stimulation braces/splints – for foot drop and gait retraining
  • Saebo Hand System – dynamic splint for hand retraining
  • Hand splints – resting and working splints
  • Cognitive Retraining Programs
  • Low Tech Augmentive Communication Systems
  • Aphasia Program
  • Wheelchair Assessments and Trials
Why intensive therapy?

Intensive therapy aims to strengthen and condition, decrease unwanted reflexes and teach new improved motor patterns through correct alignment. Research shows that intensive repetition and alignment increases neuroplasticity, which can lead to faster progress.

Why Rehab on the Move?
  • We place great emphasis on the training of our staff and ensure they are up to date in the latest technology, equipment and therapy interventions. This gives you the assurance of knowing our therapists are some of the most highly trained in the field and have the know-how to help you make real progress.
  • As the first private, multi-disciplinary practice in Sydney we have a team that is used to working together all the time. They will know how to come together to get the best results for you.
  • At the end of your program we will provide you with a home program and detailed video clips so that you can continue to make progress at home. We’ll also order any equipment you might need to help you with your home program, meaning you and your carers have one less thing to take care of.
